George Lucas - Director, Writer And Executive Producer

As fans, we all know that Star Wars is about a fantasy political battle engaging an entire galaxy. The fiction is the best-known work of master director and filmmaker George Lucas, who is also famous for gripping films like American Graffiti (1973) and THX 1138. Lucas is also famous for his multi-faceted participation in later films such as Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Willow and Twice upon a Time. Amidst releases of other successful films, The Star Wars Series continued to add glimmer to Lucas's already shining career through the 1980's through 2005. George Lucas has been popular also for breaking a number of records pertaining to commercial success in filmmaking. A winner of several awards throughout his film career, Lucas is also a highly respected citizen for his contributions to the Martin L. King Memorial in Washington DC for the commemoration of the civil rights leader. The American Film Institute has honored Lucas with its Lifetime Achievement Award, which was almost recognition for his long-term contribution through 4 decades of the Star Wars trail.

George Lucas is also one of the most respected figures at the University of Southern California (School of Cinematic Arts). Lucas studied there and later donated 180 million USD as a sign of gratitude in 2006. The University announced the donation in September that year, and also mentioned that it was the largest they received from any other source. Lucas has also been a key figure in political and social celebrations in the US. Lucas was inducted into the California Hall of Fame in 2009 as Governor Schwarzenegger announced the grand event for the filmmaker.

Lucas has also won honors from other countries apart from the US. Lucas's popularity amongst filmmaking students all over the world is a monolithic outcome of his participation in promoting film studies. The George Lucas Educational Foundation (est. 1991) runs as a non-profit organization designed for celebrating and encouraging innovation amongst film students. Lucas has also been recognized by various media sources as one of the greatest Americans of all time.
